The Storm

Just before the evening like every night, the tree breeze a wonderfull night,
May have a glass or two to catch anther narrative flue .

When the future is uncertain with no change of heart,
As our time pass, a dream of heaven a dream of the past.

I've never listened, I couldn't undertand
My sinfull self anther charge was my way out .
No displine is love,
It could be a desire to kill
A nature to give
A transmissition of such a breaking point
My faith in life for my freedom share
A flow of oneself sound of life
A volume sound that haterd my mind
A cultural x charge, A way to make it sound
A heaven landscape ,A vision in sound,

Which ghost, which life imitation, which mind code
Life is a big court the border of thoughts, the opponent verdict,
A blood shot, a snow drop, a sequel darw,

A question of your heart every day illusion, every day conclusion, I would choose my sins, i would live in her sight, the time, the hours, the days that pass,

A butterfly bird all are green, blue as faint, deep as dark.

I could be somewhere else, which sound of life when there is no faith, A langauge of fate, no faith is an earth when it's all break,

I could be somewhere else, which sound of life when there is no faith, A language of fate, no faith is an earth when it's all break,

Call me once let me hear your voice, let know what i've lost .I will knock the door, i will ask for faith don't leave me burn when all leafs reaching its corps .

Call me on every morning light call my name when ever i am out, when ever i search in the timing sand i could see the moon so bright, every living creature,
every peace of mind a beat of sight .

When the storm in heart, shades of all water running pouring into my soul, my empty glass is full, my night is barren without a moon an nightless river, dreams of tomorow i am out of charge without my soul an empty heart .

When our goodness can't treat our sins, when our greatness can't beat our heart

''IS YOUR LIFE MUSIC TO YOUR EARS?'' a nice article i wish to share with you.

My friends and readers of voicesfromjenin, I would like to share the following article posted on gather.com, I loved it, and the theme is so true. I even posted my reply to it here on voices.

this is the link, enjoy and share:

http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977091106

It is amazing, when we think about it, and find out how much music is envolved in our lives. Not particularly music played by enstruments and trumpets..etc. But the music of motions and sounds of life. Our hearts have music of their own when they pumb blood. Our breath is a melody of itself.(both change speed and rythem in times of happiness, fear, etc.) The voices of the people we love are beautiful tunes, even those of whom we don't like or feel secure with are a different tune too. I believe that we should learn how to hear those existing sounds and learn to interpret them and deliver beautiful sounds of ourselves. I guess that would be a divine bless to us as individuals if we all could get to such a point.

This Is Not a Horrible Checkpoint

This morning the streets of the town of Kofor Ra’ai in the district of Jenin were almost empty except for people and families waiting on both sides of the street for transportation. It was a weird situation with no vehicles driving at 11 in the morning but it was obvious that there was a nearby checkpoint blocking cars from passing.

I was traveling for my first day at university in Jenin after a break of three weeks for the summer course, but my trip lasted for three hours which is four times more than a normal day. After thirty minutes waiting side the street, a mini bus arrived and I was lucky to get the last seat at the back. Just few minutes outside the town, an Israeli mobile checkpoint of two jeeps were stopping and checking vehicles in both directions of the road.

He's back! But other are not, yet!

Dear friends, far and near,
Few days after my brother was taken by Israeli soldiers without notifying his family(my parents and I) he was released, or should I say"allowed to go home"!
He is in a good shape and manners now, he is fine and more educated after that experience.
I don't know why i won't talk about my brother in this email, although some of you may think about it and expect to hear more about every step he had to take since he was taken by soldiers till the minute i heard his voice for the first time -after we stoped hearing anything about him- calling me and asking "what's cokking, sis" then I jumped up and down screaming words showing happy words! anyways.
I talked with my brother many times about what the whole idea of snatching"thanx to my friend who used this word before" someone from where ever he is and keeping him somewhere where only God knows. When they do not even report about him or call his family.
My brother told me that at the place where he was kept, they had children kept by the occupation soldiers for the 38th day in arrow. One kid of them is in his 13. He befriended my brother, and kept the spirits of everyone else's up! He had a beautiful voice, and he knew that, so from time to time in the night, the kid sang and encouraged all other "prisoners" or whatever Israel calls them.
The food is covered by the ICRC "Red Cross" and it was a piece of butter-chees in the morning, a cup of youghurt for lunch and a piece of bread with jam for dinner. It is said around here that if the ICRC cuts its food aid for such prisoners, then Israel will not offer them the food from its budget and then it will release thousands of Palestinians held temporaly by it. So, somehow the ICRC should look again where and how its fund is used!
There is nothing more difficult than not knowing where the one you love or care about is. When my brother did not come home on the day he was supposed to. We did not know what to think, we had no idea about where he might be. My parents started having devilish ideas about what could have happened to him, was he alive or not, and if yes, then where and how. I had faith that he was ok, that he was nearby and doing well. It is like a special bond, a hint that made me feel more relaxed than my parents.
What Israel is trying to do, besides winning the game! is to terminate the existence of the Palestinians, and kill their spirit. What happened with my brother happens with thousands of scholars and graduates who come to visit their families in Palestine or just coming back after finishing studying abroad. It wants us to feel frustrated with life in Palestine, to get sick of, and to feel that they are not welcome and will have no job opportunities in thei home.
This topic need to be discussed in more details, and unfortunatelly i have no time now.
thanx for praying for my brother
and for thinking about us.
Salam,
Ayah

Should I hate Israel? What do u think?

My friends, far and near,

some of you might have met my older Brother Mohammad, and some just heard about him. He is my older lovely brother and a true human. He studied Agricultural Engineering and applied for Masters in Jordan three years ago.
Since Tuesday my family and i are living through a nightmare. we were anxiously waiting for my brother to come back home after he has just finished his Mastres in Agricultural Engineering\Animal Raising and Care. We knew that he left to the borders on Tuesday at dawn, as he told us the day before and as my other brother in Jordan told us that day, and that was it!!! He did not have a mobile no. to be reacehd through, and his Jawwal PIN was shut all the time. Tuesday passed and we did not hear anything of him, or about him, only ideas and nightmares painting the images, everyone got home that day except my brother, Mohammed. on Wednesday, we managed to talk to someone from jordan and he helped us alot in informing about my brother and told us that he successfully had crossed the Jordanian border point on Tuesday, so we knew then that he is not kept by the Jordanians. Then we called a man from Jericho who called people that he knew and work in the Palestinian borders-point in Jericho, and they said that such a name has not arrived the point yet! so we realised that my brother is kept in-between, i.e. by the Israelis.
Here, I will not talk about the pain, the agony and the sleeplessness and sorrow that struck my family and I. mom collapsed into a million pieces and so did my father. We called the Red Cross on Wednesday and some other organisations and they told us that they'll help to find any information about my brother within two days!! Three days after my brother was missing, an organisation called us home and they said that they found A Mohammed Alrozzi in the israeli detention military camp of Salem! Since then, we are waiting for a phone call, a door knock or any idea of how he is doing. Where and Why? my brother is clean and never had any troubles with Israelis, or Jordanians or even Palestinians. It is just a nother gift of the just state of Israel to the Palestinians to celebrate their children and scholars in their happiest way.

pls pray for him, i can't believe that it is really happening, i even lost day count and feelings inside me. i have to be strong for my parents especially my mom.

to be continued...

When I Die!

When I die, I wish the sky grieves in Rain

So that plants will grow-

and flowers, too, on my grave!

When I die, I wish to be remembered

at least by those who affected my life.

I wish my kids read me always

See my friends, who are true

and- more- afew!

When I die, I want you to pray, pray-

For yourself, for others, and of course for me.

I wonder If you'll know all of this-

When I die-

I guess I'll never know.

My Cristmas as a Muslim!

It has been a while since i last wrote somthing on gather. I did not have any new writings although i had some great ideas and stories to write about. My experience with christmas as a Muslim is not something strange for me, but might be strange to you and that is why i wwoul like to share my memoirs with you for today!

In my society Muslims are a majority and we live all together in peace and love, regardless of the situation we suffer each day due to Israeli actions against us. At the university i have christian friends and christan teachers, we all love each other and treat everyone equally. I myself wait sometimes for people's from the other religion holidays. I am very used on my own muslim holidays and love living through them again and again each year. But the experience i have when i see my christian fellows celebrating their holidays, and everyone of us share the joy of the holiday under the hard situations we are going through.

This year, we, Muslims and christians are celebratingour holidays around the same week(Eid Aladha, and xmas). We will happily and proudly share the joy of holidays. We will spread cookies to eah other and around the university. people will sing, people will pray. We will forget the unjust occupation above our heads. We will look ub and reaach the skies. We will stand hand in hand praying and bonding to face the occupation. we will pray for peace. And I as a Muslim will greet my family, my friends and my christian friends and teachers for the holidays we are having soon. And that is what i will do each year, that is what we all as Palestinians will do

I Listen only to What They Tell Me

Today at 9 in the morning, a group of 30 students from my university in Jenin left to attend a conference and an exhibit of Information Technology held in Ramallah. IT students were invited to visit a joint Palestinian market of different Palestinian computer and software companies.

The first checkpoint we reached came a few minutes after leaving the campus just outside the village of Zababdeh. Two Israeli army jeeps controlled the road, stopping cars traveling in one direction. It was not long till we were stopped at our second checkpoint outside Buckram. The army forced us to leave the bus and wait on the side of the street. Two soldiers went inside to check our bags, while anther two soldiers checked our IDs. After 10 minutes we were allowed back in the car. The driver stopped just few a meters ahead waiting for them to finish checking our IDs. More...

To My Book

By: Ayah

My friend of paper and ink,
In your imagination I sink.
Give me power and I swear,
I'll take you everywhere.
I care about you..
And you, in turn, do, too!
Stick to me, and I will be..
A good friend, and I'll send
Your knowledge to others..
And don't mention the nice covers!

What War Is All About!

War is war
But before
They were friends.

The orders came
And they left
So their friendship took
A huge shift
One was killed
And one is left

To mourn his friend
Who lost his life.
Left a child
And a widow wife!
That is what war is all about!
